A Certified Bookkeeper (CB) is a professional who has obtained a certification demonstrating competence in the field of bookkeeping. We are certified through the American Institute of Professional Bookkeepers (AIPB), which requires applicants to meet educational and experience requirements, adhere to a code of ethics, and pass a six-part comprehensive exam covering various aspects of bookkeeping. Continuing education credits are required to maintain certification.
Great! We encourage our clients to work with a tax professional and we offer a collaborative environment. We believe the CB/CPA relationship enhances the overall financial management process and contributes to our clients' success. We ensure that the financial records are accurate, complete, and well-maintained throughout the year, so the data is immediately available for the CPA to provide tax and/or strategic financial planning. Win-win!
No. Bookkeepers typically do not provide tax assistance, as tax matters involve complex regulations, deductions, and legal implications. For comprehensive and accurate tax advice, it is recommended to consult with a qualified tax professional, such as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
We are happy to compile financial statements on a recurring basis at an interval you choose such as monthly or quarterly. However, a CPA is the only agent qualified to prepare an audited financial statement and a reviewed financial statement.
